A Message from Rentech, Inc.
Rentech, Inc. develops technology and projects that transform underutilized hydrocarbon resources (such as coal) into valuable alternative fuels and clean chemicals while providing clean energy solutions to meet our nation's growing energy needs.
The Company accomplishes this through the implementation of its patented and proprietary Fischer-Tropsch Technology. More commonly referred to as coal-to-liquids or gas-to-liquids, the technology converts synthesis gas, a combination of hydrogen and carbon monoxide made from natural gas, coal, petroleum coke or biomass, into ultra-clean fuels and chemicals.
The dramatic increase in world wide energy usage, the United States growing dependence on foreign oil and the fragileness of the country's energy infrastructure and security is driving the push to companies such as Rentech, Inc. for its Fischer-Tropsch (FT) technology as a potential source to address these issues. As such, Rentech has become one of the leading developers and marketers of FT technology.
Rentech's corporate initiative of vigorously pursuing Clean Energy Solutions is a benchmark of the company.
