Imperial Sugar Company Announces Update Regarding Annual Report and
Form 10-KSUGAR LAND, Texas, Dec 14, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Imperial Sugar Company (NASDAQ:IPSU) announced today that they will not
file their Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended September 30,
2010, which is due today, and will not hold their conference call with
investors scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Eastern today. The Company indicated
that they were reviewing the recording of expenditures charged to repair
and maintenance expense to determine if any should be recorded as
capital improvements, in light of the significant costs incurred in
connection with the restart of the Company's Port Wentworth refinery.
The Company hopes to complete their review and file the Form 10-K by
December 29, 2010, and to reschedule their conference call with
investors once the filing has been made.
