International Paper Announces Appointment of Newland Lesko as EVP STAMFORD, Conn., June 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Paper
(NYSE: IP) President John Faraci today announced the appointment of Newland
Lesko as executive vice president, effective immediately. In his new role,
Lesko will be responsible for the implementation of company-wide manufacturing
initiatives and technology.

the next level. With his many years of experience, Newland is uniquely

Lesko currently serves as senior vice president, industrial packaging and
as chairman of the company's Manufacturing Leadership Council. Since joining
International Paper in 1967, Lesko's career has included a number of
manufacturing and business assignments of increasing responsibility. Lesko
holds a bachelor's degree from Colby College.
