Clive Thomson takes over as Finance Director of Barloworld Limited Clive Thomson formally took up his position from 01 April 2003.
Clive joined Barloworld in March 1997 as the Finance Director of Barloworld Coatings division. Previously he was a partner of Deloitte & Touche. During this time he worked in Princeton, United States as part of an international project team and in South Africa, in addition to his audit client responsibilities, he served in technical advisory and education portfolios. In 1993 he completed his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree at Cambridge University, England in the Economics and Politics of Development.
Barloworld CEO Tony Phillips said "We are particularly excited about having Clive Thomson join our executive team following on from his successes in our Coatings business. I would once again like to thank and publicly recognise Des Arnold who retires as Director, Finance and Administration for his enduring commitment and the enormous contribution that he has made to Barloworld over the last 37 years."
