AuthenTec Announces Support for the New Windows Biometric Framework at WinHEC 2008AuthenTec will demonstrate a fingerprint sensor integrated with the new Windows Biometric Framework for Windows 7MELBOURNE, Fla., Nov 05, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AuthenTec (NASDAQ:AUTH), the world's leading

the new Windows Biometric Framework, designed to work with fingerprint
biometric devices and applications in Windows 7. AuthenTec worked
closely with Microsoft throughout the development of the Windows
Biometric Framework. Andy VanDamia, AuthenTec's
Director of Software Product Marketing, will discuss the Windows
Biometric Framework at the WinHEC 2008 Conference in Los Angeles on
November 7.
During a WinHEC session on Nov. 7, Mr. VanDamia will share some of
AuthenTec's experiences working with the
Windows Biometric Framework; specifically, he will demonstrate AuthenTec's
highly secure AES2810 fingerprint sensor. AuthenTec's
fingerprint biometric solution will be on display in the WinHEC 2008
Exhibit.
The Windows Biometric Framework allows developers of fingerprint
management applications to work with supported fingerprint sensors in
systems using Windows 7. This provides ease of fingerprint sensor
integration for PC manufacturers and a more consistent user experience.
