Allstate Insurance Company and Florida Children's Forum Present Little Hands Care-A-Van
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- For the last eleven years
children's hand print artwork has decorated the rotunda of the Capitol during
Children's Week. These hand prints represent the children of Florida and help
bring issues involving young children to the attention of legislators and
other government officials. This year, businesses such as Allstate Insurance
Company and Publix Super Markets, Inc. along with the Florida Children's Forum
and more than 30 other non-profit agencies are coordinating efforts to circle
the state of Florida highlighting issues relating to early care and education,
child health, child safety and children with special needs. The Little Hands
Care-A-Van will make its way through Florida with the final destination in
Tallahassee, where the Children's Artwork will be displayed during Children's
Week, March 29 - April 1.
During the week of March 23 - March 29, local child care resource and
referral agencies along with other groups such as Easter Seals, Arnold Palmer
Hospital and University of South Florida Center for Excellence will conduct a
rally in each of the following cities: Miami, West Palm Beach, Ft. Myers,
Bradenton, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Panama
City and Tallahassee. Local government officials, educators, parents,
concerned citizens and children will participate in the rally and enjoy food,
fun and festivities while bringing attention to the needs of Florida's
youngest citizens.
