Allstate Insurance Company and Florida Children's Forum Present Little Hands Care-A-Van

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- For the last eleven years children's hand print artwork has decorated the rotunda of the Capitol during Children's Week. These hand prints represent the children of Florida and help bring issues involving young children to the attention of legislators and other government officials. This year, businesses such as Allstate Insurance Company and Publix Super Markets, Inc. along with the Florida Children's Forum and more than 30 other non-profit agencies are coordinating efforts to circle the state of Florida highlighting issues relating to early care and education, child health, child safety and children with special needs. The Little Hands Care-A-Van will make its way through Florida with the final destination in Tallahassee, where the Children's Artwork will be displayed during Children's Week, March 29 - April 1.

During the week of March 23 - March 29, local child care resource and referral agencies along with other groups such as Easter Seals, Arnold Palmer Hospital and University of South Florida Center for Excellence will conduct a rally in each of the following cities: Miami, West Palm Beach, Ft. Myers, Bradenton, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Panama City and Tallahassee. Local government officials, educators, parents, concerned citizens and children will participate in the rally and enjoy food, fun and festivities while bringing attention to the needs of Florida's youngest citizens.
