In military reconnaissance and surveillance platforms, our systems process real-time radar, video, sonar and signals intelligence data. Our systems are also used in semiconductor imaging applications, including photomask generation and wafer inspection. Mercury also provides radio frequency products for enhanced communications capabilities in military and commercial applications. Additionally, we entered the prime defense contracting market space in fiscal 2008 through the creation of our wholly-owned subsidiary, Mercury Federal Systems, Inc., to focus on reaching the federal intelligence and homeland security agencies.

Within the defense industry, Mercury's products and solutions address mission-critical requirements for C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) and electronic warfare (EW) systems and services. Mercury targets several markets including maritime defense, airborne reconnaissance, ballistic missile defense, ground mobile and force protection systems, and tactical communications and network systems. Our products have been deployed in approximately 300 different programs with 26 different prime defense contractors.
